Device manufacturers and network carriers have received a lot of flak for the slow rollout of the Android 4.0 update. For an OS that was announced almost a year back, it is quite sad to see that only 10% of the Android devices worldwide currently sport ICS. Even though the question of “When will I get Jellybean?” is on everyone’s mind, OEMs are slowly catching up with an OS rollout that should have happened a lot faster. It’s not like the technology infrastructure doesn’t exist to do such things; we’re talking about the mobile network of smartphones here!Adhering to the axiom, “better late than never”, Motorola India is finally rolling out the Android 4.0 update for their flagship devices, the Motorola RAZR and RAZR MAXX. According to the Motorola release notes, the update introduces a host of new features and performance enhancements as expected, including:
- An updated look and feel
- Homescreen customization and navigation changes
- Changes to social networking
- Improved voice recognition
